I disagree. For young children, it's easier to differentiate the 
letters.  It's a convention, a quick way of indicating this is for 
kids to read, not just for adults.  I think it works for this target 
audience (but I can't test, my 11 year old is too sophisticated and 
my baby doesn't recognize lower-case letters).
