The big Answer to this question is "It depends".

Ask yourself these questions?

Does the company wants to create its own identity and Brand value? OR
does it want to brand itself as Part of a bigger network?

Whar are the pro's and con's of each side?

Why do you want to create a seperate brand? Is there a need for it? Do the
customer base get confused?

If you answer these questions and many other related business,identity and
branding issues, you would know which way to go.
