That, of course, is another myth, akin to its twin brother 'The First Mover
Advantage' of the dotcom era. Where are the 'revolutionary leaders' of, say,
push, like PointCast? Webcasters, like Pseudo? WAP? 'Free' Internet
providers? Online grocers? Just how many interactive TV pioneers have we had
in how many waves of 'this is the year of the iTV' nonsense? Etc.

Anyhow, my point was not about leaders/survivors but, essentially, about
buzzword compliance/results. We already know that confusing the two leads to
disastrous results.
