[Sig-l] ASIS&T SIG Cabinet Preparations

Dear SIG Leaders:

The ASIS&T Annual Meeting is only a few weeks away, and I am in full SIG 
Cabinet meeting planning mode.  We have a very full agenda for this 
year's Cabinet meeting, so I will need at least one representative from 
every active SIG to attend.  We will be voting on two (possibly 
contentious) items that I hope to have drafts to send you soon.  The 
first is a restructuring of SIG finances, and the second is a 
restructuring of SIG/Technical Sessions for the 2010 annual meeting and 
beyond.  We also need to present the annual SIG awards and elect 
new/returning SIG Cabinet officers.

ACTION ITEM: Please let me know who will be representing your SIG at 
this year's Cabinet meeting (Sunday 11/7 10-11:30am).

We have two nominations for the open SIG Steering Committee Advisor 
position, Diane Neal (SIG VIS and CR) and Heather Pfeiffer (SIG KM).  I 
welcome additional nominations for this seat as well as for the SIG 
Cabinet Deputy Director and SIG Cabinet Director seats.  At present 
Shelly Warwick (Deputy Director) and I are running unopposed for 
reelection to those positions.  The three continuing Advisors are Chris 
Landbeck (SIG VIS), Phil Edwards (SIG STI), and Kevin Rioux (SIG USE).
