When: Saturday June 22, 10am -3pm (10:00 – 15:00)

Where: the Quonset Air Museum, North Kingstown, RI
The Quonset Air Museum is located at, 488 Eccleston Ave, North Kingstown,

Why: There is no Quonset Air Show this year!

Schedule:
10:00 Museum opens – exhibits and networking
11:00 Astrid Drew, Researcher, Steamship Historical Society: “Starting from
Scratch at the SHS”
12:00 Conversation with the QAM’s Executive Director, David Payne, lunch,
and a short business meeting
12:30 Tour of the archives-in-development for 5 adults
13:00 John Kennedy, Director of Museum Education and Community Outreach,
Naval War College Museum: “The Naval War College Museum – the Next Steps”
14:00 Robert Kelly, Collections Development Librarian, Redwood Library &
Athenaeum: “The Challenges of Access in Membership Libraries”
15:00 Museum closes

How: $15 for adults, $12 for children under 12
Admission to the museum, lunch, and programming are included in your
registration fee. This is a family friendly casual-dress event so the
kids/spouses/guests can visit the exhibits indoors and out while you attend
the presentations. Come for a specific talk, or for the day. Feel free to
spread the word to other area library, archives, and history groups; it
would be great to have a large turnout!
