Announcing the 2016 AM SIG Panel Proposal Pre-Review Service 
 
Building on Lynn Westbrook’s offer to pre-review SIG panel proposals for the 2015 Annual Meeting, the ASIS&T SIG Panel Proposals Task Force is charged with providing a pre-review service for 2016 SIG panel proposals. Strong panel proposals, ideally, enhance the quality of the annual meeting and increase SIG participation at the conference. The Task Force members will pre-review SIG panel proposals with the purpose of offering suggestions designed to strengthen panel proposals prior to their submission to the Program Review Committee.
 
SIGs may submit their 2016 Annual Meeting panel proposals to the Task Force for pre-review at: SIGpanelreview at gmail.com.
 
A meta-review of the panel proposal will be returned to the SIG within two weeks of its receipt.
 
In order to give the SIG time to consider Task Force recommendations, no pre-review submissions will be accepted after April 4, 2016.    
 
The pre-review process is independent of the Program Review Committee proposal process and does not represent any offer or other guarantee that pre-reviewed SIG panels will be accepted.
 
All panel proposals must be submitted by May 3, 2016 to the Program Review Committee. Please see https://www.asist.org/events/annual-meeting/annual-meeting-2016/ for complete requirements for panel submissions.
