So the first two will be reviewed, right? Good.
The last one is not clear. So we agree with the withdraw of Z39.84, is this the vote?
Last, Good idea to have NISO standard being kept even the ISO one is there. As you said, and we discussed at last year at ASIST meeting, ISO standards are not free!
Thanks to your work!

Subject: [Asis-standards] NISO votes
Folks
I just cast the following votes:
REAFFIRM on Review of ANSI/NISO Z39.87-2006 (R2011) Data Dictionary - Technical Metadata for Digital Still Images
REAFFIRM on Review of ANSI/NISO Z39.43-1993 (R2011) Standard Address Number (SAN) for the Publishing Industry
WITHDRAW with comments on Review of / Withdraw ANSI/NISO Z39.84-2005 (R2010) Syntax for the Digital Object Identifier
Comments:
ASIST concurs with the comments of NLM and NFAIS about making sure that ISO standards are available and affordable and notes that NISO continues to maintain Z39.50 as a US National Standard even though there is an equivalent ISO version ISO3950 - If we recall correctly one of the major reasons for doing this was concern over the availability and affordability of ISO standards. With Z39.50 there was also the concern with the slow pace and cumbersome process of making changes to ISO standards and felt having that flexibility justified the maintenance of a US standard
Ill be sending out a few more upcoming votes soon
Mark
