Colleagues,
Interested in Minecraft? Jetpack Joyride, Youth and everyday life, school settings, reading and more? Youth rock and we all have an interest no matter what our bent. Join us at the 2013 iConference Workshop on Digital-Age Youth. It's for everyone interested in being at the outset of a new digital youth community, and will comprise one-minute lightning gigs about everyone's interests, followed by an unConference around planning the 2014 Digital Youth Summit in Seattle.
Marking the first in a 3-event sequence, the 2013 workshop will bring together a diverse community that'll further comprise a steering group to help plan the Seattle Digital Youth Summit 2014 that'll be sponsored and attract participants from industry, government, non-profits, education, and media. The third event will return to the iConference 2015 for reporting out. But we'll also do something special at the 2014 iConf in Berlin to keep everything rolling and find other synergistic venues en route :)
We especially invite faculty and graduate students from the same school to attend together. Early bird ends soon and note preconf workshops are *free* with iConf registration.
In addition to registering, please email Elizabeth Mills jemills1 at uw.edu<mailto:jemills1 at uw.edu> so we the rock the best workshop :)
