LAC seeks a dynamic Electronic Resources Librarian for a global investment/financial industry corporation located in Washington, D.C. We're seeking a bright, self-driven professional librarian to manage the firm's electronic and print materials, relationship with content providers and vendors, subscriptions, licenses, passwords, and the like. This is a full-time temporary position with the possibility of subsequent hire ("temp-to-hire").
Primary Responsibilities (not intended as all-inclusive list)
Tracking and managing subscriptions invoices, licenses, and contracts firm-wide.
Maintaining awareness of firm-wide resources
Ensuring timely payments and renewals.
Tracking cost and allocation for budget purposes.
Anticipating and preparing annual renewals; prepare annual firm-wide budget for resources.
Managing cancellations and additions as needed.
Maintain vendor relations, meet with representatives
Minimum Qualifications
Demonstrated experience managing subscriptions, licenses and contracts, and budget for same, in a complex, high volume multi-unit, multi-national organization;
Demonstrated ability to handle simultaneous projects;
Demonstrated experience with budget management and spreadsheets;
Previous experience with Sharepoint would be a plus.
Education: Bachelor’s degree required. MLS degree from an ALA-accredited institution preferred; experience sufficient to demonstrate qualification may be substituted.
