[Asis-l] ASIS&T New Leaders Award

ASIS&T is now accepting submissions for the New Leaders Award.  This
award provides financial assistance and mentoring opportunities for
new members of ASIS&T.

To apply, applicants must submit a brief statement (no more than 500
words) describing: 1) why they would like to attend the Annual
Meeting, 2) what benefits they would derive, 3) their previous
involvement in ASIS&T (if any), and 4) their plans for future
involvement in ASIS&T.

The awardee will receive up to $700 in travel expense reimbursement to
defray the cost of attending the Annual Meeting the first year and up
to $300 the second year (the second year must be consecutive with the
first year).

The awardee will be assigned to participate in a particular
SIG/Chapter/Committee and given a mentor in that unit (the applicant
will have a chance to identify units of interest).
