[Asis-l] Rutgers receives IMLS grant to support online MLIS

The School of Communication, Information and Library Studies at Rutgers
University is pleased to announce that the Library and Information
Science Department and the Professional Development Studies program have
received a grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services in
the amount of $969,773 to support development of the MLIS degree online
over the next three years. Two specializations will be supported in the
online program: School Library Media Specialist; and, Digital
Librarianship. The grant supports one Ph.D. student and six new faculty
members. Nicholas J. Belkin and Karen Novick are the PIs for the
project, but all current and new LIS faculty will be involved.
