George Washington University's Center for Professional Development in Washington DC Announces the following course for February:

New Trends and Issues in Records Management - (CWRM 633: Records Management), Instructor: David Stephens:

This course provides an introduction to the most important issues and events affecting records management today: the Enron-Arthur Andersen Case and the need for greater accountability in record keeping; the September 11th disaster and the need for enhanced information protection, new legislation affecting record keeping and records management; the transition from paper-based to digital record keeping and the role of records management in this new environment; and many others.  The student will receive a solid foundation to the professional discipline of records management as a prerequisite to the entire curriculum.

When: February 24-26, 2003; Time: Monday-Tuesday 8:30am-5:00pm; Wednesday 8:30am-3:30pm, Place: Washington DC, Cost: $1,130
