A PhD student position in Library and Information Science is open at 
Umeå University, Sweden. Our research team in Library and Information 
Science is located at the department of sociology, and has a 
particularly strong supervisory capacity within bibliometrics and 
science studies. The PhD student will be employed at the department, and 
financed with a doctoral studentship. PhD students are expected to 
pursue their studies full-time and actively take part in the 
department's activities. Departmental duties (typically teaching and 
administration) at a level of at most 20% can be included in the position.
