Applications are invited for two Postdoctoral Fellow positions;
one in Information and Library Studies and one in Information.
Both are within the UCD School of Information and Library Studies.
For one position, we seek someone with expertise in eLearning and
continuing professional development (CPD) ideally in the context of
library and information science professions. This position includes
conducting research on eLearning and/or CPD, and designing and
delivering CPD modules.
For the other position, we seek someone with research expertise in
information retrieval or information management, in combination with
interests and experience in information system design,
computer-supported cooperative work, health sciences informatics,
communication studies, human information behaviour, anthropology,
and/or a related field applicable to the design and study of
information systems and technologies across a variety of contexts. In
this position you will design and conduct a programme of research with
the support of senior researchers and contribute to educational
programmes in the school.
NOTE:
All applicants for this post are required to submit no less than *3
recommendation letters speaking to research and teaching competence
and creativity.
* Letters to be attached as a single document in addition to CV and
covering letter (max 3 attachments in total)
Salary range: €30,000 to €39,500 p.a.
Appointment to the above range will be made commensurate with
qualification and experience.
Closing date: 23.30hrs GMT, Monday 30th November 2009
