STREAM VIDEOS FOR DIVERSE LEARNERS AND BRING ORAL HISTORIES TO LIFE
presented by Karl H. Seiler, President of Multimedia Instructional Network
Delivery System (MINDS), LLC and Emmi R. Gordon, MINDS Administrator of
Instructional Programs
--Need supplements for instruction that will help reinforce concepts, allow
more creativity and provide a means to reach visual learners at all levels?
Streaming videos and multimedia can be used as an intervention tool as well
as a supplement to traditional instruction. Embrace multimedia to improve
learning, understanding and retention. We will share curriculum examples
from over 80,000 standards-aligned multimedia components. Also learn about
our Oral History Project: A Culture and Heritage Exchange Initiative that
brings history to life as students become historians of war, culture and
heritage experiences. This intergenerational project, in partnership with
the Library of Congress, brings communities and schools together in an
unparalleled civic pursuit - a project-based learning experience that is
immeasurable. Process, examples, impact and funding strategies will be
shared. Everything is available through the MINDSconnects(tm) eLearning
Knowledge Center...we have something for everyone.

The tech connections 5 Web site provides further conference details on more
than 30 technology and management learning sessions along with online
registration at http://www.rls.lib.oh.us/tc5/.

We hope to see you at tech connections 5 on June 7 and 8, 2004 at the
Fawcett Conference Center - OSU, Columbus, Ohio!

Since 1999, tech connections has been a collaborative endeavor between
Ohio's Regional Library Systems - CAMLS, GCLC, MOLO, NOLA, NORWELD, OVAL,
SOLO.

"This year's tech connections conference is nicely enhanced for conference
participants thanks to the receipt of an LSTA grant from the Institute of
Museum and Library Services through the State Library of Ohio."
