provide for more predictable technology planning, reduce security concerns,
and offer more flexibility to users.
Libraries are currently using Linux with other open source software for
their
- Web/file/mail servers
- Library portals
- Automation/integrated library systems
- Digital libraries
- Web content filters
- Electronic reserves/journals systems

Join us for this overview of Linux and open source software and find out how
it can benefit your library's staff, patrons, and budget. Attendees will get
hands-on experience with Linux and library-related projects.

- What is Linux?
- What can libraries do with it?
