Dear SIG USE members,
Every year the SIG USE gives out the Outstanding Contributions to Information Behavior Award. The purpose of this award is to promote scholars who have, over a period of time, contributed in an outstanding way to the development of the information behavior research field. Please nominate a great researcher who has made solid and deep impact to our field. Past years' awards have been given to Brenda Dervin, Carol Kuhlthau, Marcia Bates, Reijo Savolainen, and Tom Wilson. The recipient of this Award will be inducted to the SIG USE Academy of Fellows. The award will be conferred on October 27, 2010 at the 10th SIG USE Annual Research Symposium. It is accompanied by a check for $500.
Please send your nominations to me (rieh at umich.edu<mailto:rieh at umich.edu>) by September 5. Based on SIG USE members' nominations, the SIG USE Cabinet members will vote to make a final decision.
Thank you, Soo (SIG USE Chair 2009-2010)
