The University of Dayton seeks an innovative, collaborative service
professional  with emphasis in the life & health sciences to serve as a
member of the Research and Instruction Services Team.

Responsibilities: Provides traditional and online library research
assistance, including potential evening hours; participates in the library
instruction program,provides workshops; develops online content for library
instruction; serves as a liaison to assigned academic departments in life
and health sciences; oversees collection budgets in assigned disciplines
and serves as the collection manager for areas by reviewing and purchasing
materials, analyzing and evaluating the collection, and working with
faculty on curricular needs; serves on various library and university
committees; and other special projects as assigned. The position is also
responsible for the administrative oversight of our reference databases
which currently include EBSCO databases (EDS and individual databases),
LibGuides, and LibraryH3lp.

Required Qualifications: MLS/MLIS from an ALA-accredited program;
undergraduate degree in the life & health sciences OR two years working
experience as a science librarian; excellent written communication skills;
familiarity with a broad range of online information sources; evidence of
ability to meet University Libraries’ promotion and tenure standards in
librarianship, research, and service.
