[Sigmetrics] CWTS Leiden Ranking 2018

Dear colleagues,

The CWTS Leiden Ranking 2018 has been released at www.leidenranking.com<http://www.leidenranking.com>. The Leiden Ranking provides bibliometric statistics for all major research universities worldwide.

Compared with last year's edition of the ranking, the number of universities has increased from 903 to 938. Also, two new impact indicators have been added to the ranking: P(top 5%) and PP(top 5%). These indicators measure the number and the percentage of a university's publications that belong to the top 5% most highly cited of their field.
