ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
Initiated by Olle Persson and Peter Ingwersen, bibliometric researchers in the Nordic countries have arranged annual Nordic workshops on bibliometrics since 1996. The general scope of the workshop is to present recent bibliometric research in the Nordic countries, to create better linkages between the bibliometric research groups and their PhD students, and to link bibliometric research with research policy. The workshop language is English and the workshop is open to participants from any nation.
PRE-WORKSHOP ON NOVEMBER 2nd
The main workshop takes place on November 3rd<x-apple-data-detectors://2> and 4th. This year NWB also offers a pre-workshop on Wednesday November 2nd in the afternoon<x-apple-data-detectors://3>. The theme is the 'Appropriate use of research metrics for the evaluation of academic, and broader social, economic and environmental impact.' and the pre-workshop is organised in collaboration with Digital Science and Plum Analytics. For more information see http://nwb.aau.dk<http://nwb.aau.dk/>.
PROGRAM
As in previous years, we solicited 250-word abstracts on the workshop themes
- in particular seeking novel ideas or work-in-progress of interest to a Nordic audience and if possible policy-related. By the deadline of September 1st, we had received a total of 36 submissions. 20 of these have been selected for oral presentation and 16 for poster presentation. For details of the program see http://nwb.aau.dk<http://nwb.aau.dk/>.
