[Sigmetrics] Accelerated Academy: Power, Evaluation and Metrics in Academic Life

Dear colleagues,

We are pleased to attach a call for papers for the second international 
conference on ‘*The Accelerated Academy: Power, Evaluation and Metrics 
in Academic Life’. *

**The conference aims to draw together research and reflections on 
recent accelerations toward metric-based forms of evaluation and explore 
consequences this may hold for research and academic life more 
generally. Confirmed keynote speakers include: Michael Power (LSE), 
Ulrike Felt (Univ. Vienna), and Peter Dahler-Larsen (Univ. Copenhagen).

The event will be held in Leiden, the Netherlands, 30th Nov. - 2 
December 2016.

Deadline for submitting a presentation abstract is 31 August 2016 (for 
further details see attached call for papers).

Registration is free for all participants, although space is limited.

We look forward to seeing you in Leiden!
