Bibliometrics Services - Which Services Provided by Libraries Are Most Valued?

I’m in the process of establishing a proactive bibliometrics service for my university. Although many universities across Europe and Austrailia have made great strides with providing services, in the United States we seem to just be ramping up services like this. Lots of libraries might have tossed up a web page describing bibliometrics, but evidence of an actual service is rare.

For those of you with established successful services, which have been the most valued services that you provide from the viewpoint of the faculty? We plan to do a needs assessment, but I’m curious about possible success stories. Your experience would provide us with suggestions for discussion with our faculty.

I will gladly compile answers for the list if you wish to respond to just my email address.

Thank you in advance,

Matt
