A postdoc position at the Research Unit for the Sociology of Education 
(RUSE), at the University of Turku, Finland, is available in the project 
“Measuring the societal impact of open science” financed by the Ministry 
of Education and Culture. Preferred starting date is 1.5.2015, the 
project ends at 31.12.2016.

The duties of the postdoctoral researcher include independent research 
according to the research plan of the project (already approved by the

The requirements for the postdoctoral researcher are; doctor’s degree in 
information science or a related field; research experience and/or 
interest in bibliometrics, webometrics, altmetrics, open science, and 
social media; capacity to do independent research; good command of the 
English language.

The salary is determined in accordance with the university salary system 
for teaching and research personnel, level 5. Task specific component of 
level 5 is currently 2840,64 euros per month. In addition, a personal 
work performance component (max 46,4 % of the task specific component) 
will be paid.
