Dear all,

 

HEFCE has just opened a consultation window as part of the process of
framing its policy on Open Access in relation to REF 2020. I regard the
proposal as extremely dangerous for both research and publishing in the
humanities and social sciences subjects, and so urge all of you to
participate in the consultation. The time scale is very tight, since HEFCE's
window is only open until 25 March 2013. The address is:
