Abstract:
The object of this study is to demonstrate the importance for university
professors of publishing in peer reviewed journals that are indexed
in Science Citation Index. The role of such publications is emphasized in
economic development and generation of the wealth of a nation.
It is important that the investigator has the liberty to choose between
applied or basic research. It is concluded that the evaluation of
university professors must include sufficient incentives for
research.
