A project sponsored by the Fundacao de Amparo a Pesquisa do Estado de Sao
Paulo - FAPESP (a governmental foundation aimed at supporting scientific
research), in association with the Centro Latino-Americano e do Caribe de
Informacao em Ciencias da Saude - BIREME (the Latin American and the
 Caribbean Centre on Health Sciences Information).

[n.b.The project involved not only building a database and markup for
articles, it involved setting up the resources for bibliometric analysis
for science policy.  --gw]
