Legal Citation Patterns

Hi all,

Thanks very much to Gretchen for her very useful compilation of citation
material since the start of this list! As she's suggested that we SIG
members raise topics of interest, I was wondering whether anyone could
tell me whether there's been any theoretical work on legal citation
patterns, similar to that on scientific or patent citation networks?
