[Sigmet-officers] about the call for papers

According to the workshop proposal, here are the deadline dates we decided on:

●       Acceptance of workshop: May 4, 2018
●       Announcement and call for submissions: May 20th
●       Deadline for submissions: July 17th
●       Review of submissions: July 18th- 31st
●       Acceptance decisions: August 1st

On the other hand, ASIST says that Workshop moderators will have an opportunity to modify and update the description and resubmit by Sunday, 15 July, 2018..
I think the call for papers can go out by May 20th, giving us time to agree on fees and perks for students. I think it would also be nice to allow people to submit not only presentations (talks and posters) but also panels and tutorials if they wish. So it may be worth rewriting the call for papers to allow for those types of submissions too.
In between May 20 and July 15th, we should lock in keynote speakers and those can be advertised in the final description posted on the ASIST website by or before July 15th. Also, I think we are planning to give awards regardless of whether we get corporate sponsorship or not, so we don’t need to wait on those. But if we DO get sponsorship, that can be mentioned in the final description.
