I think that Christine Meschede can join the SIG and be an officer immediately - there is no problem that I can see.

Hello all,
thank you for that input. It was nice to attend the meeting!
I guess, there was something a little bit mixed up, Christine Meschede
is currently not part of SIG SM. So instead of her, the chair will be
probably Aylin Ilhan.

Dear officers,
I propose that we share the presentations and extended abstract on Figshare
as well as on our website. So I prepared an email (see below) to request
permission from presenters to share their work and to send us their PPTs.
I created a Figshare account for Sig Met (first name Sig: last name: Met).
Maybe we can consider opening an actual institutional account if you guys
think it is better. It costs money though. The idea is to upload everything
there and create a "collection" for the Metrics 2017 workshop. This way all
the material will be in one place and easily accessible. The account is
currently linked to my email address, but that can be changed.
Christine, I thought its something you could do as our new webmaster, but
I'm happy to help.
Maybe it's also easier if you send the email yourself (feel free to modify
it of course). If you want to do that, I'll send you the presenters' email
addresses.
Alright, let me know what you guys think.
Philippe

Dear SIGMET presenters,
First of all, thank you for your contributions to this year's SIGMET
workshop.
I am writing to obtain your approval to share your extended abstracts and
PowerPoint presentations on Figshare as well as on the SIGMET website.
Please respond to Christine Meschede (christine.meschede at hhu.de) and
indicate:
*What you want to share?*
Option 1 - Abstract + PowerPoint/Poster
Option 2 - Abstract only
Option 3 - PowerPoint/Poster only
*Where you want to share it?*
Option A - SIGMET website + Figshare
Option B - SIGMET website only
Option C - Figshare only
*What to include in your email:*
1- Your choice of option (eg. 1A)
2- Your slides (if you chose option 1 or 3)
3- We already have the extended abstract that you submitted on EasyChair,
but if you wish to share different version, please also include it in your
email.
If you do not want us to share your work, simply ignore this email.
Thank you again for making this year's workshop a success.

Great job, Philippe.
Regarding the best paper award, we had 14 votes (out of paid 28 attendees)
Should we announce the best paper award?
