Dear Kristene,

I hope you are well. I am writing as the current SIG/MET chair to ask you if ASIST has any plans to honor Dr. Eugene Garfield? We, at SIGMET, have been in discussion today regarding some form of honoring/remembering Dr. Garfield’s contributions to SIGMET, Informetrics, and Science. We had considered a panel at ASIST and/or a submission to the ASIST Bulletin (as per the message below). We’d like to do something in remembrance of Eugene’s contributions to our community and would like to be involved in anything ASIST is planning. Please let me know and I will pass it on to the SIGMET officers.
