Dear Tim:

Thank you and SIG/MET for taking on the task to organize this panel as an important recognition of Eugene Garfield's immense contribution to our field and ASIS&T.

Please use the panel proposal submission format available at: https://www.asist.org/events/annual-meeting/annual-meeting-2017/asist-2017-call-for-papers/.

Regarding sponsorship, I am copying Vanessa Foss, ASIS&T Director of Memberships & Meetings, who is coordinating sponsorship for AM17 and is familiar with logistics these involve.

Once we start working on the preliminary program we will be in touch with you to confirm the panel scheduling to ensure it works well for the speakers.

Cheers,

Sanda & Naresh

P.S.

We are also CC:ing Kathryn La Barre who leads ASIS&T 80th Anniversary Advisory Group, so she is aware about the panel.

This is very exciting and I've forwarded this to Lynn and the conference chairs. The three of them will have the info you need for next steps.

sorry I can't give you concrete direction on this!

Dear Kristene,

As per our discussion regarding the SIG/MET panel to honor Dr. Eugene Garfield at ASIST:

We have a list of distinguished speakers willing to discuss Dr. Garfield’s contributions in a panel format. We are also in the process of contacting Clarivate to sponsor the speakers travel and ASIST registration fees. We were wondering how ASIST might assist us in this endeavor and how our plans fit with what you were considering.

Best wishes,

Tim
