Dear All

I definitely think that we should extend the deadline, and I agree with Isabella, that we can handle the reviewing by ourselves.

Judit

Hi Kimberly,

thank you very much for the update.

I think it is a good idea to extend the deadline and send a last CfP.

Since I wasn't involved in the last year's review process I am afraid I
cannot contribute anything to this topic (although I thought that those few
proposals would be reviewed by the chapter officers :-) ).

Cheers!

Isabella

Betreff: [Sigmet-officers] Student Paper Contest

Hi all,

Wanted to give an update about the 2013 SIG/MET Student Paper contest. To
date we have 3 submissions, though a potential 4th has contacted me for
clarification points. The current submission deadline is Monday, July 29th.
I will be out of the office and cut off from computers until Monday, August
5th. So I would propose putting out a Last Call for Submissions with a
slightly extended deadline. How does this sound? I'll send the email once
I've confirmed the closing date.

Another thing I wanted to bring up was the submission review process. I
understand the last two iterations each used a different review processes.
any thoughts/preferences about how to arrange it this year? I can put out a
call for reviewers to the larger SIG but would like to be able to explicate
the process a bit.

Many thanks,

~Kim
