Dear Stasa,I forward the email I received today from Henk Moed.
On 14 November I sent you the correspondence from
Hemk and asked you to assign someone to deal with Research Trends.  As Chair of SIG/MET, could you please either oversee
this area of work yourself or assign the area to someone else at the SIG.

Many thanks,
Jonathan.

 SIG/MET, RT
Dear Jonathan,
I hope this email finds you well.
This emailproposes to make next steps in thecollaboration between Sig/Met and Research Trends.
In your earlier mailyou proposed:
SIG/MET would provide publicity for Research Trends by
·      Making calls for papers on our listserv and website.
·      Encouraging our authors to submit articles.
·      Providing a link on our website to Research Trends.
·      Publicizing recent issues on our listserv and website.
Research Trends would provide:
·      The opportunity for SIG/MET to publicize administrative announcements in return for our efforts.
We just published RT issue 25(a pdf is attached). We are very proud of it, it is(again) a very interesting issue.
<<Research_Trends_Issue25[1].pdf>>
Here are my questions:
·      Would you be willing to publicize RT25 on your listserver and website?Andto makea link on your website to ResearchTrends?
·      Meanwhile we are preparing RT26, and aim to publish it in February 2012.Could you send us a (preliminary)  list of announcements you would like us to include in RT26?Just to give us an idea and to see how we would include them?
I want to apologize again for replying so late to your earlier mails. This is not because of a lack of interestfrom our sidein collaborating with you. On the contrary, all members of the RT editorial team want to make a start nowand come to a fruitful cooperation.
It isbecausewe have been extremely busy–Andrew had tofinisha bibliometric report forthe UKBISdepartment(excellent report, you may have seen it). I have been traveling for many daysall over the world. Fortunately we now haveJudithKamalski aspublishing director(I copy her in).She will be your principal contact from our side.
Awaiting your reply, with kind regards, and looking forward to afruitfulcollaboration,
Henk
