[Sigmet-officers] workshop

Dear All:

Thank you, Dietmar, for your thoughts on this. Just to clarify a few
items, the shortened time would reduce the price of the workshop.
However, I could also see doing a longer time. In this case, we might
consider accepting all the papers (if they are of sufficient quality).

We could also think of other activities at the workshop: a hands-on
portion, a tutorial, a keynote speaker, a panel, a debate, etc. if we
wanted to extend it to the longer time frame. This would also allow
for informal activities (lunch, dinner, etc.).

My only concern would be in getting a large attendance beyond the
presenters, since this is the last day of the conference and people
may be heading home.

However, I am happy to organize it however you all see fit.
