Dear Chauqun,

Thanks for sorting out things so well.  I am sorry if matters have been a bit hurried; we are new to this.

You ask: “But I have the same concern that bidding may take some extra time and slow things down. I was wondering whether we can send papers to our reviewers according to our knowledge about the reviewer's expertise, if there are not too many papers. Do you have any more thoughts?”  I think that in addition to saving time, by allocating the papers ourselves we can match the papers to the reviewers’ expertise and avoid asking people to review papers from their own institution.

You wrote “I added the criteria you've suggested, i.e. potential for publication (1-5), reviewer confidence(1-4), and the quality of writing(1-5). Space for extra comments for potential for publication and quality of writing is also added.”  In my previous email I wrote “(1)     Following on from Dietmar’s feedback on the additional criteria, I agree that we add the criteria of ‘Significance’ and ‘Quality of methods’”; is it stroll possible to add these extra criteria?

Best regards,
Jonathan.

Dear All,

I just added all of you who EasyChair system as PC members & Chairs. I used the email address you used to send messages to this list. If you have not received any information about being added to SIGMET paper contest, please let me know. I will change your email address to make sure you are correctly added.

Yes, EasyChair system does have paper bidding feature. I just enabled this feature for our contest. But I have the same concern that bidding may take some extra time and slow things down. I was wondering whether we can send papers to our reviewers according to our knowledge about the reviewer's expertise, if there are not too many papers. Do you have any more thoughts?

I added the criteria you've suggested, i.e. potential for publication (1-5), reviewer confidence(1-4), and the quality of writing(1-5). Space for extra comments for potential for publication and quality of writing is also added.

I will upload a document to our system to test whether the features like review criteria, distributing papers, upload reviews work well. So if any of you receive some email or notification I will probably send by accident during the following two days, would you please ignore it? Thank you very much.

By the way, I just checked the submission, and it is still zero. But I believe we will get papers soon!

Best,
Chaoqun
