FREEBURG, DARIN DARINF at mailbox.sc.edu
Sat Sep 9 11:33:39 EDT 2017

The ASIST Special Interest Group for Knowledge Management is asking for nominations for officers to lead us through the next year. If you would like to be a part of steering the direction of SIG-KM, please consider submitting your name. You can serve in several capacities, including but not limited to: Chair-Elect, Secretary, Treasurer, and Member Relations Officer.

SIG-KM is undergoing several exciting transitions, including the establishment of a newsletter that will soon be revealed. It seeks to serve as a communications and networking hub for those interesting in all aspects of knowledge in social systems.

If you have any questions, please contact Darin Freeburg (darinf at mailbox.sc.edu)<mailto:darinf at mailbox.sc.edu)>. Please send Darin your name, the position you’d like to be considered for (can remain open), and a short bio. Official election materials will be distributed in October in an open election, allowing all of our members to cast their votes regardless of whether you are able to attend the Annual Meeting.

Thank you for your willingness to support the work of knowledge-centric folks around the globe.

Sincerely,

Darin Freeburg (Current Chair, SIG KM)

P.S. Be on the lookout for the first official SIG-KM newsletter coming soon. The success of this newsletter will depend on the willingness of members to contribute content. This will include book reviews, short features on cutting edge issues in KM, a calendar of events of interest to members, one-question surveys to provide fun and interesting snapshots of members, and many other relevant pieces. Consider how you might be a part of this, and email Darin with any questions or to indicate your willingness to be involved in any way.
