INFORMATION SCIENTIST – PRODUCT LITERATURE

with experience in thesaurus management and indexing.

Information Scientist – Product Literature

As a member of the Global Content team, the Information Scientist is 
responsible 
for identifying and evaluating scientific literature and publications on 
pharmaceutical 
products. Ensures indexing and record structure supports quality standards 
for 
access and retrieval. Maintains company wide thesaurus and supports 
development 
and maintenance of medical taxonomy. Develops and produces on-demand 
retrospective 
searches and maintains current awareness searches. Enhances collaboration 
with 
clients and client groups and facilitates global knowledge sharing. 
Participates 
in evaluating new technologies and platforms. Participates in the 
development of 
current and future business process models or procedures. Conducts needs 
assessments 
and requirements analyses and defines the business needs for new or 
enhanced systems 
and process.

Qualifications:
BS or MS in Pharmacology, Pharmacy, Biology, Nursing or related sciences 
required. 
MLIS from an ALA accredited program a plus. 
Experience in researching scientific literature on commercial databases. 
Ability to evaluate and index biomedical and pharmaceutical literature. 
Technical 
know how on desktop tools and the ability to work collaboratively with 
peers and 
customers.  Excellent logical and analytical skills and the ability to 
manage 
multiple priorities in a fast paced environment. Requires customer service 
skills, 
strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
