Thanks Emma.
I would like to propose a panel in the area of digital inclusion and/or financial inclusion of marginalized communities (preferably in developing countries but I am open to developed countries as well), which aligns with the theme of this year's ASIST Conference. I suggest presenting and discussing our key research findings that are useful for advancing information science research. For instance, you could identify specific areas of information science or gaps in the existing research in information science, which could be enriched by your "inclusion research" with marginalized communities. If anybody is interested in sharing your ongoing or completed research through this panel, please contact me as soon as possible to brainstorm ideas/approach/etc. for developing this proposal. My email ID is: dpotnis at utk.edu<mailto:dpotnis at utk.edu>.
The deadline to submit panel proposals is May 2nd (see https://www.asist.org/events/annual-meeting/annual-meeting-2017/asist-2017-call-for-papers/).
Thanks!
- Devendra

Subject: [Sigiii-l] ASIS&T Call for Panel
Dear SIG III Members,
The deadline for panel submission is due on May 2, 2017. I have a few inquiries regarding the coming deadline:
1) Is SIG III going to sponsor one panel as we did in the past year?
2) Are any SIG III members would like to propose a penal?
Thanks,
Emma
