[Sigiii-l] Silent Auction Donations Needed for International Reception at AM 2010

Dear ASIS&T Members:
 
When you're packing your bags for the October 2010 ASIS&T Annual Meeting in Pittsburgh, PA, don't forget to include donated auction items to make this the biggest and best silent auction ever sponsored by SIG-III at this year's International Reception.  
 
The International Reception will be held October 25, 2010 from 8-10pm in the Hilton Pittsburgh Hotel.  Included in the events and activities will be the silent auction, multiple raffle drawings, as well as live music by the Bésame music group.  The International Reception will also recognize represented countries, so we encourage members to attend in traditional, national costumes.  
 
Remember, proceeds from the silent auction fund SIG-III's InfoShare Program, which awards one year ASIS&T memberships to information professionals and students in developing countries for whom the cost of membership would be a financial burden.
 
SIG-III will leave a box by the registration table in which ASIS&T members may drop off silent auction donation items.  You may also bring your donated silent auction items to the International Reception prior to 8pm while SIG-III members are setting up for the event.  
 
If unable to attend this year, please consider sending silent auction donations with a friend or by postal mail.
