EDICIC, the association for education and research in information 
science in Ibero-America and the Caribbean (a member of the Global 
Alliance of the Information Sciences societies)  has started a 
discussion and announcements list.
It mainly operates in Spanish and Portuguese but accepts announcements 
of events in English. To subscribe send to LISTSERV at LISTSERV.REDIRIS.ES 
a message with " subscribe EDICIC " in the body.
The list is moderated.
