SIG III is organizing a new and exciting fundraising event.

Three prizes will be on offer. A lap top is the grand prize and only 250 tickets
will be sold. The mode of entry is by Internet.

Winning entries will be picked at the International Reception during this year's
Annual Meeting in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

   Official Raffle Rules for ASIST?s SIG III 2007 International Paper Contest
                                   Fundraiser

1.    If you are located in the European Union or elsewhere outside of the
United States (?U.S.?) and wish to participate in this Raffle, you do so at your
own risk and initiative, and understand and agree that you, not SIG III or
ASIST, are responsible for compliance with any applicable local and national
laws of your respective country of residence.  Please be aware that any personal
information you provide to us or we obtain as a result of your Raffle entry will
be transferred to and processed in the U.S and subject to U.S. law. By entering
this Raffle and providing us with your personal information, you fully consent
to this transfer and processing of personal information to the U.S. and in other
countries that may not have an equivalent level of protection or a level of data
protection considered adequate in the European Union or European Economic Area.
Consequently, you hereby waive any claims that may arise under the laws and
regulations that apply to you in or of any other country or jurisdiction.
2.    The Raffle features three prizes. The grand prize is one (1) Dell Inspiron
Digital Notebook, approximate retail value (?AVR?) of $775.95. The second and
third prizes are a one (1) four (4) piece African Unisex Kitenge Suit (AVR
$393.75) and a one (1) 4GB pen drive (AVR $115.49), respectively. No cash or
prize substitution is allowed except at the discretion of SIG III, the Raffle
Sponsor and Administrator.
3.    Only 250 raffle tickets will be sold.
4.    Each ticket is worth $100 and you can enter as many times as you wish as
long as the raffle is still open and running.
5.    The Raffle will open on April 1, 2007 and will close when all 250 tickets
are sold or at midnight EST on August 31, 2007, whichever occurs first.
6.    Any Internet purchase received after midnight EST July 31 2007 or, if by
mail, post-marked after midnight EST July 31, 2007, or after the 250 ticket mark
will not qualify for entry. For purposes of these Official Raffle Rules,
?receipt? of an Internet entry occurs when the Sponsor?s servers that manage the
sale of a raffle ticket record the entry information by a purchaser upon
clicking the ?Submit? button. Any automated computer receipt (such as one
confirming delivery of an email) does not constitute proof of actual receipt by
Sponsor or Administrator of the raffle of an Internet entry for purposes of
these Official Raffle Rules.
7.    Winners will be determined by a drawing at the 2007 International
Reception at the ASIST Annual Meeting in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, [DATE TO BE
INSERTED].
8.    Winners? names will be available to the entire ASIST community and will
also be announced via SIG III?s website.
9.    The purchase price of raffle ticket is not tax deductible.
10.   All participants must be at least 18 years old.
11.   Winners need not be present to win. Winners will be contacted both by mail
and email. Prizes are not transferable.
12.   Payment of any and all tax liability resulting from the winner's receipt
of the prize is the responsibility of the winner. Winner of the Dell Inspiron
Digital Notebook must submit his or her personal information, including Social
Security Number (or equivalent), to SIG III and sign an IRS Form W-9 for IRS
tax-reporting purposes. [NOTE: As the administrator of the Raffle, SIG III will
be responsible for filling out the IRS form and reporting any prize over the ARV
of $600.00 to the IRS.
13.   If for any reason or no reason per its sole discretion, SIG III may
terminate the raffle without advance notice and refund all ticket purchases.
SIG III also reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to modify or suspend
the Raffle without advance notice, and to make changes to these Official Raffle
Rules, including the substitution of a prize of equivalent value, which shall
become effective upon announcement.
14.   By entering, participants agree to (a) comply with and be bound by the
Official Raffle Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor which are final and
binding in all respects; (b) to release Sponsor,  Administrator, and their
promotional partners, their employees and agents from any and all direct or
indirect liability, loss, damage or injury resulting from participation in this
Raffle or from the awarding, receipt, possession use and/or misuse of any prize;
(c) acknowledge that Sponsor, Administrator and their employees and agents have
neither made nor are in any manner responsible or liable for any warranty,
representation, or guarantee, express or implied, in fact or in law, relative to
any prize including, but not limited to, its quality, mechanical/electronic
condition or fitness for a particular purpose; and (d) consent to the use of
his/her name, photograph and/or likeness, statements and voice for promotional
and trade purposes in all media worldwide, now known and hereinafter devised,
and in perpetuity without additional compensation or authorization, unless
prohibited by law.
15.   Neither ASIST nor SIG III will be responsible for any lost, late, delayed,
misdirected, garbled, illegible, incorrect or inaccurate information or entries
that are misdirected or misrouted as a result of interrupted or unavailable
network, Internet connections or transmissions for any reason, or for any
computer, phone, phone line hardware or software malfunction, failure or error
of any kind, whether mechanical, human or electronic, or for any typographical,
printing, distribution, production or other errors in the printing, the offering
or the administration of the Raffle, or in the announcement of a prize or
winner.
16.   Any person attempting to defraud or in any way tamper with this Raffle
will be ineligible for any prize and may be prosecuted to the full extent of the
law.
