Congratulations to Norman, a longstanding SIG-III member and officer.
If you happen to be in Nova Scotia next week, make sure to attend this 
event to pay tribute to him.

On another note, as the ASIST annual meeting gets closer and closer, I 
will be circulating the dates of important SIG-III meetings, as well as 
preliminary agendas for the meetings.

Many people have asked me about opportunities for sharing room. Feel 
free to use the listserv if you are looking for someone to share a room 
with. We only ask that the replies to individual requests be directed to 
the sender only not to the whole list. Also, please include with your 
request: your gender, the dates that you will be staying at the hotel, 
and any other requirements/preferences.

Last but not least, Aaron and Amanda have been hard at work on the Blog 
for the Global Information Village Plaza 4, so make sure to contribute 
your thoughts on information trust. The blog is available at:

Please join us at an evening reception to celebrate the achievements of Dr
Norman Horrocks, Professor Emeritus and Adjunct Professor, recently named
an Officer of the Order of Canada.

The event is arranged by the Associated Alumni and the School of
Information Management and is co-sponsored by many library associations.

The event will include music, cocktail foods, a cash bar, and a great deal
of good cheer and short speeches in honour of Norman! Co-sponsoring
organizations will also be recognized.
