Attendance Grant

Aim of the grant

The aim of the travel grant is to support 10 delegates from a number of
countries in Asia to attend the World Library and Information Congress:
72nd IFLA Conference in Seoul, Korea, 20-24 August 2006. The grant is
financed by the Korean Government.

Criteria for allocation

Candidates must be a national of one of the listed countries:
Bangladesh, Burma, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Mong! olia, Nepal,
Philippines, Sri Lanka, Timor-Leste or Vietnam.

General quality of application.

Professional background and experience: level of education, positions held
and professional experience in general.
Committed letter of application and a well presented CV.

Financial provisions

The grant is to cover the travel, registration fee, accommodation and meals.

Selection

Priority will be given to younger professionals with a minimum of 5 years
of experience in the field of libraries.

Application

Applications, including professional curriculum vitae and information on
present occupation should be submitted as soon as possible and should be
received by the ALP Focal Point not later than 15 March, 2006.
