[Sigifp-l] Digital Government Conference

Please join us for the 2011 Digital Government (dg.o) conference in Washington, DC June 12-15, 2011 at the University of Maryland College Park.  The conference creates an opportunity for researchers and practitioners to exchange innovative research, practice, and solutions to challenges in digital government. The conference hosts panels, research paper sessions, posters, and demonstrations by leaders in digital government scholarship and practice, as well as keynotes from:

- Dr. Nabil R. Adam - U.S. Department of Homeland Security: Science and Technology Division;

- Dr. Irak López Dávila, Coordinador General de Modernización Administrativa, Gobierno del Distrito Federal, Mexico; and

- Mr. Frank Baitman, CIO, U.S. Social Security Administration.

A reminder that everyone planning to attend Dg.o 2011 should make their hotel reservations now, as our discounted rates expire May 11 and 19. We have arranged discounted hotel rates at three hotels in the area. Details are at  http://dgo2011.dgsna.org/hotels-and-travel.  We will arrange shuttle bus services between these hotels and the conference venue. It is important that you reserve your rooms now, as the area is hosting the U.S. Open Golf Tournament at the same time, and hotel space in the Washington area is at a premium.
