Interesting Justyna, and not least because you compare focus groups to "a/b,
clicks, time, conversion, eye tracking" - none of which UX designers do
much of either :-)

Be that as it may, your description of doesn't fit with what I'd associate
with a focus group. It sounds more like  a form of usability testing only
with more than one participant. The challenge would therefore seem to be
how you can control for things like dominance or group think. But perhaps
that doesn't matter if it's the "community" you are trying hear from rather
than the individuals in it.
