Corey McPherson Nash (www.corey.com) is seeking an Information Architect to join our UX team on a contract basis with a potential for permanent employment. The information architect uses various methodologies to research how users interact with current and proposed experiences, understand clients' business goals and processes and architect experiences based on research and UX best practices. 


We're one of Boston's leading and established branding and design firms. We work with lots of well-known and about-to-be-well-known clients in the education, consumer, healthcare, services and non-profit space. And we want you to make sure that our thoughtful brand strategy is executed in site architecture and UX throughout a variety of interactive channels. An Information Architect strives for excellence and maintains a professional demeanor with clients, with partners and with colleagues; communicates concepts clearly and concisely; demonstrates involvement and open communications in all aspects of the workplace; and contributes to the overall esprit of the firm. This individual demonstrates imagination, flexibility and creativity in his/her thinking and work, has strong problem-solving skills, and works efficiently within allocated budgets. 


Responsibilities: 

* Plan and execute UX research including stakeholder interviews, heuristic evaluations, competitive audits and task analysis. 
* Assist with interaction workshops, usability test sessions, development of content taxonomies and reports. 
* Collaborate in creation and maintenance of user profiles, personas, task flow diagrams, site maps and wireframes. 
* Develop moderator guides and site prototypes to support usability testing. 

Qualifications 

* 2-4 years prior experience in HCI, information architecture and user research. 
* Undergraduate or graduate degree in design, computer science (HCI) or design-related discipline. 
* Ability to work on multiple projects with tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail. 
* Excellent interaction and communication skills both written and verbal. 
* Ability to understand and apply user-center design best practices and techniques. 
* Portfolio, case studies or examples of previous UX work including both mobile and website experience. Portfolio samples should include some of the following: wireframes, schematics, personas/user profiles, personas, task flow diagrams, user flows, prototypes, powerpoint presentations, etc. 
* Experience using Omnigraffle and building prototypes using Axure or HTML/CSS. 
* Team-oriented, energetic, innovative and self-motivated.
