Calling all Information Architects!
I am currently looking for a mid-weight Information Architect to work for an
Interactive Communications Agency.
So what makes this agency any different? The agency is creatively-driven,
with a particular focus on Research and Development. This translates into
the Agency aiming to offer clients a below the line alternative to
traditional advertising networks. The business model is now based on
focusing toward media strategy and creative output, as well as innovation
and digital experimentation. My client positions itself as living and
breathing digital. The company has undergone a restructure in which the
current objective is to build on organic growth from existing clients, build
on client relationships, and invest in the strategic and technologies
capabilities.
Another key factor about the agency is its people. The atmosphere in the
company is underpinned by a closeness of staff and managers comment that
they work within a collaborative and close-knit working environment. In
terms of career prospects, the agency places importance on organic growth
and finding talent from within. With open plan offices, combined with a
close-knit team working environment, a UE architect will feel as though they
are working within a creative and innovative team, as opposed to feeling as
though they are merely producing wireframes for a big corporation.
In terms of the nature of the work, my client is looking for a certain
someone. Within this role, the UE architect will be involved within the full
UCD lifecycle. The department is made up of 1 Head of IA. You would work in
collaboration with the Head IA, to produce inspiring, useful and innovative
ways of handling the IA needs within the agency. The benefit of this role is
that an IA will be involved from the initial conceptualisation stage
thinking about media strategy and then later producing deliverables at the
interaction design and build stage. You will be working in
multi-disciplinary teams, including (Planners, Designers and Tech teams).
More specifically, you will be producing a range of deliverables. It must be
noted though that my client is not looking for an Auto Pilot IA they are
looking for an IA to work closely with teams to develop strategy which
informs the interaction design.
The Activities and Deliverables include the following;
· Digital Experience planning and design.
· Purchase path UX.
· Digital context diagrams.
· Business analysis.
· Pen portraits, personas, user journeys.
· Site maps, card sorts, taxonomies, nomenclature.
· Wireframes, interaction diagrams, prototyping.
· Process flows.
· Content matrix.
· Competitor reviews, site and digital audits.
· Brainstorm, workshop design.
· Usability testing.
· Stakeholder workshops and interviews.
· KPI setting and measurement, tracking requirements.
· User workshops and interviews.
· Use cases and functional specs with tech teams.
· Testing plans with tech teams.
If you want to get involved in translating the conceptual to the logical,
you are proud of what you do, and believe that the documentation you produce
must communicate concisely and beautifully whatever its intention, then send
your cv and portfolio to me at dean at zebrapeople.com.
