This UXD team is on the client side (not an agency) & is responsible for designing, prototyping and launching world-class user experiences for their global customer base. This person will be responsible for working collaboratively across our various business lines to design the user experience and standards for our mobile and social platforms. As a UX Design Director, you'll work closely with our internal business clients and end-users to translate their needs into experiences our customers love. 

Responsibilities 
* Partner with business partners to clarify and refine goals, target users and metrics, serving as the partner's primary contact point 
* Direct a creative team of information architects, visual designers, editors, and prototypers to tackle complex projects of varying size 
* Drive innovation across mobile devices including smartphones and tablets 
* Work with our usability team to test and refine designs and prototypes 
* Partner with our development team to ensure technical feasibility and flawless implementation 
* Collaborate with senior management on the long-term user experience vision for the mobile experience, with the goal being a consistent, world-class, reusable user experience across many products and platforms 
* Develop mobile application style guide and standards 
* Ensure that design team efforts are in sync with the business partner's business goals, expectations, and budget 


Requirements: 
* 10+ years experience leading creative direction for a design team 
* 2-3+ years mobile AND social media UXD 
* Fortune 1000 ecommerce and/or transactional site design experience 
* Portfolio that showcases your UXD skills/experience 
* Degree in a related field, such as Interactive Design, Architecture, Industrial Design, Graphic Design, or Human Factors 
* Experience designing mobile applications for both smartphones and tablets a must 

* Ability to understand customers needs, motivations, and behaviors and translate them into deliverable tasks 
* Strong knowledge of interaction design and methodology 
* Demonstrated experience using web analytics to inform design decisions 
* Detail-oriented and highly developed organizational skills including the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines 
* Experience in rapid, iterative software development, such as Agile is a plus
