This is a full time, on-site, salaried Senior Web/UI Designer position
located in New York City paying $90,000-$130,000 depending on experience +
benefits.  No telecommuting allowed.  US Citizens or Green Card holders only
please.  Local candidates only.  Thank you. 

Responsibilities: 

* leading web graphic and UI design effort 
* guiding and managing other web designers 
* working with product managers to develop workflows and wireframes 
* liaising with our marketing department's lead graphic designer 
* working closely with front-end developers   
* maintaining graphic standards 

Requirements: 

* extensive experience with interactive user-interface design on the web 
* experience leading design efforts and managing a team 
* strong proficiency with vector graphics (Illustrator, Inkscape, etc) 
* strong proficiency with image manipulation (Photoshop, GIMP, etc) 
* working knowledge of HTML/CSS 
* understanding of JavaScript and AJAX 

Desired (but optional) skills: 

* experience with an HTML templating system like HTML::Mason or JSP 
* understanding of cross-browser / cross-platform issues 
* experience with foreign languages and translated content 
* working knowledge of JavaScript, experience with a JS framework 
* any of / SVG / VML 
* HTML for email
