I attribute it to the rest of the world has moved on to consider IA as part of a set of skills that a designer should have. It's not a discipline unto itself, but rather part of a skill set that other roles should have. 

BTW, I unsubscribed a few times due to Ziya's signal-to-noise ratio. I finally created a rule in Mail that just took anything from him and moved it to the trash. Ziya definitely contributed to the loss of interest in the list, but the failure of a community is due to multiple facets—not any one single point of failure.
